As my career progressed I quickly realized that there was more to wellness than just physical fitness. I went on to discover what I now define as the Five Components of Wellness. The Five Components of wellness are Emotional, Mental, Social, Physical, and Spiritual Health. One cannot find total fitness when one of these parts is lacking. Stretch Therapy is the corner stone of the 5 Components of Wellness as it helps increase joint movements, promotes relaxation, increases mood, helps release stress and reduce pain.

The practitioner assists the client through various ranges of motion that help increase joint movements, promotes relaxation, increases mood, helps release stress and reduce pain. Stretch Therapy is for everyone and is tailored to the client and their needs based on careful assessment from the professional. All parts of the session use a top down method. We start with the head and neck and move systematically through the rest of the body including the back, hips, legs and feet. Using this simple method allows the practitioner to find the sources of stress, over and underactive muscle groups, and other muscular imperfections and imbalances within the body.
Make sure that you have filled out the consent forms and that you are aware of restrictions that you may have medically. Make sure to ask a doctor for permission before partaking in an Assisted Stretch session.
